Russia has created a secret underwater intelligence network called "Harmony" in the past few years to protect its nuclear arsenal and monitor NATO submarines, "Le Monde" newspaper wrote, citing the "Russian Secrets" research group, APA reports.
The report states that the system created by Russia is a network consisting of thousands of kilometers of cables, sensors and sonar equipment on the seabed in the Arctic.
According to studies, Russia secretly acquired high-tech equipment for the creation of this network through intermediary companies from Europe, the United States and Japan.
It is reported that the creation of this network raises questions about Europe's ability to control the export of sensitive technologies to Russia.
