"Georgia has historically connected Europe and Asia, the West and the East, and our task is to restore this function for our country as much as possible," said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze while commenting on the importance of the 5th Silk Road Forum, which will start tomorrow in Tbilisi to journalists, APA's local bureau reports.
According to him, significant investment projects are being implemented to achieve this goal.
“We are actively working with our neighboring countries in various directions. Naturally, the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum will also give us the opportunity to convey our messages to our partners as much as possible. All issues related to the development of the region will be discussed at the forum, and special attention will be paid to Georgia’s role in this process,” said I. Kobakhidze.
