"The European Union delegation in Georgia is in a very difficult situation; they are directly supporting attempts to organize a revolution in the country, and this must change. We cannot specifically blame the ambassador for this because we know that it is not his decision," Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists, APA's local bureau reports.

He emphasized that very complex processes are taking place within the EU, and a disastrous situation has been created by the European bureaucracy.

According to the Prime Minister, although there were attempts to impose sanctions against Georgia at the meeting of EU foreign ministers held yesterday in Luxembourg, no decision was made:

“I express my gratitude to all the relevant EU member states for their support. Thanks to their support, sanctions were not imposed against the Georgian people, and this is very important.”

Kobakhidze expressed hope that the EU will reconsider its attitude toward the Georgian people and the government they have elected in the future.
