The International Monetary Fund (IMF) believes that the partial government shutdown in the United States had a negative impact on the country's GDP growth in the fourth quarter of 2025, fund's official Julie Kozak said at a traditional briefing for journalists, APA reports.
"Due to the shutdown, we expect that US economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2025 will be lower than our previous forecasts," Kozak noted.
He added that a partial recovery effect is expected in the first quarter of 2026.
