The Hungarian people want to see Ukraine as a partner, but do not accept it as a member of the European Union, said Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban while addressing the participants of the "Peace March" held in Budapest, APA reports.

According to Orban, Ukraine's entry into the union could bring war and economic disaster to the EU.

"Kyiv can only bring war and economic devastation to this alliance," the Prime Minister emphasized.

During his speech, the Hungarian leader sharply criticized the current policy of the European Union, saying that "Brussels has become a source of danger, not a source of help."

The Prime Minister noted that Hungary remains the only European state that defends peace and that his country will not join the "war coalition" that sends weapons and money to Ukraine.

"We do not need war. We want peace. Hungary will never be part of this conflict," Orban said.
