“What happened is very regrettable. I do not want to make any further comments on this issue,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in response to journalists’ questions regarding the interrogation of former government head Irakli Garibashvili, APA’s local bureau reports.
He noted that since the date he began working as Prime Minister, February 8, 2024, the government has operated transparently.
Kobakhidze stated that he does not intend to comment on the matter and called on journalists to address their questions to the relevant authorities.
Note that Garibashvili was interrogated yesterday at the Anti-Corruption Department of the State Security Service of Georgia. He admitted to having obtained illegal income over the years.
