Georgian President Mikhail Kavelashvili has pardoned the leaders of the opposition "Strong Georgia - Lelo" party, Badri Chaparidze and Mamuka Khazaradze, said he President of Georgia, APA reports.
The President of Georgia explained his decision with the desire to "not give anyone a reason to talk about limited competitiveness" in the municipal elections scheduled for October 4.
It should be noted that Badri Chaparidze and Mamuka Khazaradze were arrested on charges of failing to comply with the demands of the parliamentary investigative commission.
