In recent days, it has been determined that 31 foreigners have been residing in Georgia without legal grounds, APA’s local bureau repports, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
The individuals, who are citizens of India, Türkiye, Cuba, Egypt, China, Pakistan, Russia, the Congo, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Nigeria, Thailand, Kuwait, Israel, and Ghana, have been expelled from Georgia. In accordance with local legislation, their entry into Georgia has been prohibited.
It was noted that more than one thousand foreigners have already been deported from Georgia this year, which significantly exceeds the total number of persons expelled from the country over the past three years.
