The European Parliament has adopted a resolution on Serbia, APA reports, citing European Parliament's website.
The resolution sharply criticized "the situation with democracy in Serbia".
The parliamentarians said that their support for Serbia's membership in the European Union would be subject to certain conditions.
These conditions include respect for democracy and the rule of law, observance of fundamental human rights, Serbia's full compliance with the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy, as well as accession to sanctions against Russia.
The resolution was adopted with 457 votes in favor, 103 against, and 72 abstentions.
