"The European Commission will present its annual report on EU enlargement on November 4. This report will assess the progress of candidate countries, including Ukraine, in aligning with European Union legislation," said the EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Katarina Maternova, at the "Accession Exchange Forum" held in Kyiv, APA reports.
Maternova emphasized that the key role as part of the EU membership negotiations lies in the reforms carried out by Ukraine and the real progress it has achieved.
“The European Commission has already set the date for the presentation of this report. The enlargement report will be presented in Brussels on November 4,” she said.
Recall that this report, presented annually, is the main document assessing the level of adaptation of candidate countries to the EU law (acquis communautaire) and the progress of reforms. The report will have a direct impact on Ukraine's position on the path of EU integration and its future steps.
