Forty-two people were injured in a collision between two trains in southern Czech Republic, rescue services said.
"There are 40 people with minor injuries and two with serious injuries," Petra Kafkova, a spokeswoman for the emergency services, told AFP. She added that the accident was reported at 5:19 a.m.
The collision occurred near the town of Ceske Budejovice, about 150 kilometers south of Prague.
Martin Kavka, spokesman for the railway operator Sprava zeleznic, said that all passengers had been evacuated from the trains.
He did not specify the circumstances surrounding the accident, limiting himself to stating that an investigation was underway.
