Baku. Ali Ahmadov – APA-Economics. Azerbaijani Parliament has today for the first time started the discussion of draft laws on establishment of special economic zones in accordance with the Customs Code.

According to APA-Economics, the draft laws are on ‘Special economics zones’, ‘Ratification of Regulations on service in customs agencies’, ‘Border forces’, ‘State border of the Republic of Azerbaijan’.

The amendments to the Taxes Code consider formation of updated variant for article #188 on exemption of imported goods from taxation. The essence of changes – to improve temporary import of goods considered in the articles # 192 and # 194 of the Customs Code to territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Thus, if up to this day the goods that were brought to the country for re-export, were not free from excise tax, now such goods will be exempted from excise.

The amendments to the law on Special economic zones consider the improvement of article #17.

After short information about the draft laws, MPs confirmed the laws without any discussion.
