Colombia to use Azerbaijani experience in oil production

Baku. Ali Ahmadov â€“ APA-Economics. Minister of Industry and Energy Natig ALiyev has today received the delegation led by the chairman of the second constitutional committee of the Colombian Senate, Senator Alexandra Moreno Piraquive.

The meeting focused on cooperation issues in all spheres. Colombian side noted that as Azerbaijan, their country also produces 1 mln barrels of oil per annum: â€˜But if we take into account that Colombia has 47 mln population, this production does not meet the need of the country.

Piraquive said that in order to increase oil production, the Colombian side was interested in study of new technologies of Azerbaijan and its experience on application of this technology. From this viewpoint, Colombia offered cooperation to the Azerbaijani side. In his answer, Aliyev expressed support to Colombia.

At the same time, it was noted that, by the year-end Colombia would host Gas Forum. He invited Aliyev to take part in the Forum.
