Allocation of state grant is proposed for renewable energy sector

Baku. Ali Ahmadov - APA-ECONOMICS. Allocation of state grant is proposed for the development of renewable energy sector in Azerbaijan.

Head of operations section of Baku representation of the EU Federico Berna told APA that along with other works related to development of renewable energy sector in the country, right business environment and tariffs conditions must be created in this sphere: â€œIf the energy produced by alternative methods is not sold for competitive price, it will be difficult to attract investment to this sphere.â€.
About achieving the competitive price of alternative energy F. Berna noted that, any government grants subsidy to support this sphere. Thereafter, its continuation depends on governmentâ€™s decision. According to expert, all issues on regulation of this sphere must be reflected in legislation that the interesting sides to be warned.
Berna says great funds are invested in alternative and renewable energy sector in the world, including Europe. For this purpose, a regulating frame must e created in Azerbaijan. He says EU supports this.
