Transportations via main oil pipeline decreased in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In January-September, 2011, 35.4 mln tons of oil was transported via main oil pipelines of Azerbaijan, down 5.1% from previous year.

According to State Statistical Committee, 76.2% transportation was realized via Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan oil pipeline and made 26.9 mln tons, down 6% from 2010. 1.5 mln tons of Turkmen oil was transported via BTJ pipeline.

At the same time, 13.8 bcm of gas was transported via mina gas pipeline during the same period, up 5% in comparison to a year earlier. ¼ part of transported gas was implemented via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline and made 3.3 bcm, down 2.4% from year earlier.
