Baku. Victoria Dementeva – APA-Economics. Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry announced Russia’s position on approach of country with European Union in energy sector as incomprehensible.

According to APA-Economics, FM reports that, EU gave mandate to European Commission for conduction of negotiations on legal base of Transcaspian gas pipeline project, on September 12.

“Thus, the talks process started with the participation of interesting sides on agreement of document on natural gas transportation from Caspian Region to Europe. At present, there is a normal, civil cooperation process among the sovereign subjects of energy markets. But, unfortunately, Russian several officials and media react to it inadequately”.

FM reminds that, Turkmenistan repeatedly announced that, it was against the politization of these pipelines projects: “Realization of Transcaspian route is not a touching upon the someone’s interests by the dictate of political conjuncture, it characterizes by country’s economic demand, mutual real effects for all participants of project, prices based on its own resource base. Export of energy carriers to Europe is one of the international strategy directions of Turkmenistan. Talks with European partners are held constructively and will be continued”.

Note that, on September 13, Russia stated that, the interference to Caspian region could intensify the situation in the region and have negative influence on talks.
