SOCAR makes public planned projects to be implemented in the near future

To him, engineering is considered to conduct next year and first stage f the project is planned to complete in 2017. The complex is considered to put into operation in 2020. Within framework of the project, it is planned to build gas refining plant with annual capacity of 10 billion cubic meters, chemical production enterprise and a plant, which will annually refine 10 mln tons of oil.

Besides, Abdullayev noted that, SOCAR will lay down the foundation of new oil refinery plant in Turkey. The plant will provide the Petkim plant with raw material. Note that, SOCAR has 51% share in Petkim. Construction of new plant will reduce the 30% of chemical raw material import and create opportunities to access to Turkish and regional oil products markets. The worth of this project is approximately $ 5 bln. First devices are planned to put into operation after three years of launch of the construction.

At the same time, SOCAR President noted that, construction of new ship-building plant started in March, 2010. This plant will engage in construction and repair of ships for SOCARâ€™s oil fleet. According to him, the company has +350 ships. New plant will support to construct new ships, especially 70,000 tons-tankers. He stressed that, these tankers can be use for transportation of Kazakh oil to Azerbaijan through Caspian Sea.

Speaking about general perspectives Abdullayev noted that, SOCAR also conducts works on extension of export geography of hydrocarbon, exploitation of Caspian Sea fields, and construction of carbamide plant.
