US ambassador to Azerbaijan: â€œTransCaspian project depends only on Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan and nobody else can interfere in itâ€

To him, by the help of this construction the US can reach strategic purposes: â€œThat is why, the US is interested in this projectâ€.

Bryza said that the implementation of the project depended on Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan and nobody else can interfere in this issue: â€œThe US supports Azerbaijan in this project, both countries have strategic interest in this issue. The success of the pipeline depends on economic and political issuesâ€.

Speaking about South Corridor, the ambassador noted that notwithstanding the project â€“ Nabucco, ITGI, TAP, the corridor will develop.

Note that, on September 7, the EU Council gave mandate to European Commission for conducting negotiations with Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. TransCaspian gas pipeline is estimated at â‚¬7.9 bln. The project considers transportation of Azeri and Turkmen oil o European countries.
