Azerbaijan to produce 30 bln cubic meters of gas in the coming 4 years

To him, the reserves of â€œBabakâ€ are equal to 400 billion cubic meters of gas and 80 million tons of condensate, â€œUmidâ€ - 200 billion cubic meters of gas and 40 million tons of condensate, â€œAbsheronâ€ - 350 billion cubic meters of gas and 45 million tons of condensate.

In addition, there are great prospects for development of â€œNakhchivanâ€ field in conjunction with the German RWE. Total reserves of the deposit are estimated at 300 billion cubic meters of gas and 40 million tons of condensate. Also, currently issue is being considered for development of gas deposits located in deep layers of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block, which may contain 300 billion cubic meters of gas.

It is projected that, Azerbaijan will produce 30 billion cubic meters of gas and 50-55 million tons a year until 2015: â€œIt plays a big role, given that by 2030 85% of energy demand in Europe will provide the importâ€.
