SOCAR holds opening ceremony for Eco-Park

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev - APA-Economics. SOCAR has today opened the eco-park in Gala village of Baku.

Delivering speech at the event, Deputy Head of SOCAR Ecology Department Vugar Karimov said that the construction of ecological park began since 2009.

To him, the main purpose of this construction is to balance ecological relations in the society.

SOCAR intends to grow plants for their business units.

50 percent of the electricity needs of the park are provided by alternative energy sources. In particular, wind generators for power generation capacity of 40 kilowatts, as well as solar panels with total capacity of 20 kilowatts are installed in the park.

Note that, SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev attended the opening ceremony too.
