SOCAR: Negotiations on transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Turkey will end this month

To him, the first round of talks between Azerbaijan and Turkey on this issue has already been hosted and the next round of talks will be held this week: â€œWe suppose to complete negotiations by the end of this monthâ€.

He also said that the negotiations on the transportation of gas to Turkey were carried out comprehensively. That is, it includes both commercial and legal and legislation aspects: â€œThis is a new issue for Turkey. Thus, Turkey has never been a transit country and the Turkish legislation has not been formed to deal with transit issuesâ€.

Vagif Aliyev also noted that in June 2010, the parties agreed on the main commercial principles.

Remind that, the reserves of ShahDaniz are estimated at 1.2 trillion cubic meters. Mining is currently being implemented in four wells. The partnership for development of ShahDaniz includes: BP (operator - 25,5%), Statoil (25,5%), SOCAR (10%), Lukoil (10%), NICO (10%), Total (10%) and TPAO (9%).
