Azerbaijan to produce 10% of energy by means of alternative sources in the next 10 years

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. In the next 10 years, use of alternative and renewable energy sources will organize 10% of countryâ€™s total generating capacity, Head of investment and reconstruction of industrial enterprises department Ramiz Rzayev said.

To him, appropriate plan of measures is being prepared for development of the mentioned and forecasts for 2015, 2020 and 2030 already exist.

Note that, at present, the new strategy is being prepared by the State Agency for Alternate & Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Industry & Energy. New program will cover the development of the mentioned sphere until 2030. The new strategy will be ready during Q1 of 2012.
