Drilling works in next appraisal well in ShahDeniz to finish in Q1, 2012

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. $86.8 mln operation expenses and $298.2 mln capital expenditures were spent during the first half-year of 2011 within the framework of "ShahDeniz" gas field development project.
According to information of the company, this number for the whole year will be $169.9 mln and $791.6 mln.
As to output, 3.07 bn cubic meter of gas and 0.8 mln tons of condensate or about 17 mln cubic meters of gas and 35,800 barrels condensate per day were produced during the reported period.
BP-Azerbaijan says since the end of 2006 until the end of Q2 of 2011, 7.13 mln tons of condensate were exported to the world market from ShahDeniz: “After launching of new wells the production is expected to grow in the coming years”.
Besides, new well will be drilled within the exploitation of Shahdeniz 2. At present, SDA06 well is shut down for extraction: “SDA03y well will be drilled in the fourth quarter of 2011. This well will be launched in Q1 2012“.
About evaluation drilling operations for exploitation of Shahdeniz, BP-Azerbaijan noted that, SDXO6 evaluation well was drilled by Istoiglal drilling device and completed in March: “Then we started to drill SDXO7A well. The works in this well are planned to complete in Q1 2012”.
