Azerbaijan receives 11 million cubic meters of associated gas from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block of fields

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. In January-June, 2011, BP Azerbaijan company exported about 10.5 mln cubic meters of associated gas from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block of fields to SOCAR.

According to information, during the 1st half-year of 2011, 1.9 bn cubic meters of associated gas was sent to SOCAR: â€œIt is forecasted that this number will be reached to 2.3 bn cubic meters within the whole yearâ€.

Note that, during the first half-year of 2011, as an operator of Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli oilfield, BP Azerbaijan company continued to send associated gas from the ACG platforms transferred to 28-inch subsea pipeline to the Sangachal terminal and then to Azerigaz state gas network for domestic consumption in the country.

The rest of the associated gas from ACG platforms continues to be sent to the infield pipelines on the platform, "Central Azeri" in order to re-injection into the reservoir and maintain reservoir pressure.
