BP-Azerbaijan holds exhibition on â€œBe acquainted with purchaserâ€ - <font color=red>PHOTOSSESION</font>

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Today, an exhibition on â€œBe acquainted with purchaserâ€ was held by BP-Azerbaijan, in Baku.

According to APA-Economics, the event is a part of increasing liability of BP-Azerbaijan and its partnersâ€™ participation in local companies which BP-Azerbaijan is operator.

The exhibition is concretely aimed for local companies to present products and services to potential purchasers. Near 90 local companies attended the event. All of these companies engage in business services, support to operations, engineering-projection, construction, material-technical supply, waste management and other categories. All of these companies are participants of Development of Entrepreneurship and Training Program, which 17 of them completed the program successfully. Besides, near 50 companies and organizations attended this event as purchasers.

BPâ€™s manager for fulfilment of contracts Paul Evans noted that, this was the first exhibition in the region organized by BP-Azerbaijan and its partners: â€œIncrease of local companiesâ€™ participation in the operations is our strategic purpose. For this purpose, we support Azerbaijani companies for exploration of oil-gas sector. Thatâ€™s why, weâ€™ve established DETP three years ago. 90 companies have completed this program. 17 of them completed successfully. These are companies which signed $65 mln-contarcts and invested capital for new work places. They are subcontractors in the operations conducted by BP in Azerbaijan and Georgiaâ€.
