A party or a person claiming that he is engaged in politics has to go to election. Otherwise, he is not engaged in politics at all,†said Ali Hasanov, head of social-political department at President’s Office while commenting on recent statements that opposition parties will boycott election.
The President’s Office official said there is no political organization which is capable to boycott election in Azerbaijan.
“The political organizations in which not more than 10 percent of Azeri electors are represented cannot boycott election. The election is considered boycotted when majority of population refuse to vote. There is no political organization in Azerbaijan which can boycott election,†Mr.Hasanov stressed. /APA/
