The visit aims to get acquaint with Azerbaijan and develop relations between the two countries. Knesset member, chairman of Israel-Azerbaijan International Association Iosif Shagal will also arrive in Baku together with him. The guests will visit the tomb of the then Azerbaijani president Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honors, will attend the opening of Jews Cultural Center and meet with Jewish community in Girmizi (Red) district of Guba.
The guests are expected to meet Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijani Prime Minister and speaker of the Parliament. Following this, Israeli Deputy Prime Minister will have meetings with the leadership of State Committee for Azerbaijanis living abroad and Economic Development Ministry. The process will last till August 18. This is Mr. Liberman’s first visit to Azerbaijan. /APA/
