Azerbaijani Defense Minister Safar Abiyev received US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Matthew Bryza, Defense Ministry’s press service told the APA.
Prospects of Azerbaijan-US bilateral military cooperation, military-political condition in the region, energy security, issues regarding Gabala radar station were debated in the meeting. Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict was particularly stressed, solution ways of the conflict were investigated.
Azerbaijani Defense Minister stated that Armenians should not waste time, otherwise they will suffer losses, because Azerbaijan can demonstrate severe position and no one can accuse them for it.
Mr. Bryza said that he agrees with Mr. Abiyev and recognizes territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and shares Azerbaijan’s position in the liberation of occupied territories. /APA/
