As a member of Stockholm International Peace Research Institute and Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF), we regret to the Russia’s strenghtening base in Armenia with extra arms and technical equipments, member of Advisory Council of Stockholm International Peace Research Institute and Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces Villem van Eekelen told the APA.
“Flank agreement should be carried out for maintaining stability in the region. Strengthening of Russian basis in the territory of another country is not right step,†he said.
Mr. Eekelen saying that this step of Russia delays solution of the conflicts in the region underlined that Russia is not interested in the stabilization of the condition in South Caucasus. /APA/
