Baku hosts colloquium of NATO Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council

The colloquium of NATO Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council on security of energy infrastructure has started in Baku in the framework of “NATO week”, APA reports.
Representatives of 20 countries are participating in the event. Fight against threats supposed in energy projects, protection of energy infrastructure, struggle against international terrorism and other issues have been debated at the event.
NATO representative for economic security Adrian Kendry stressed that alliance will positively appreciate Azerbaijan’s efforts on energy security.
“Azerbaijan is focused on as energy exporter by Europe. Azerbaijan is the organizer of important energy projects and security of those projects coincides with the interests of Europe,” he said.
Turkish Foreign Ministry’s representative Ervin Buraltay underlined that debates carried out at the meeting is very important for the security of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Arzurum projects.
The event attendees will review Sangachal terminal today in the framework of the two-day colloquium. /APA/
