US representative to NATO considers it important to counter threats against energy sector

The US government is supporting all efficient proposals regarding energy security, the US representative to NATO Jack Gerar-Mele participating in energy colloquium held in Baku said, APA reports.
US senior official said that energy security was one of the global problems and stressed that it focuses the states. Mr.Gerard-Mele saying that necessary measures should be taken in this field characterized countering threats in energy sector as an important issue.
He said that efforts should be united and concrete measures should be taken in this field. /APA/
