The head of the group Permanent Swedish representative to the Council of Europe Per Sjögren told a briefing that Araz Azimov informed them about the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
Araz Azimov gave information about Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents’ last meeting in St. Petersburg and improvements in the negotiating process .
Per Sjögren noted that the issue regarding peaceful solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict is not in the mandate of Ago group.
“Our mandate is connected with the implementation of Azerbaijan’s and Armenia’s commitments vis-à -vis the Council of Europe,†he said. /APA/
