Ali Karimli: If there is no election reform, Azadlig alliance will not join presidential elections

Azadlig alliance stated its position regarding the presidential elections scheduled for 2008 and it is decisive in its position. If election reforms are not held in the country, we will not attend the elections, co-chair of Azadlig alliance, chairman of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP) Ali Karimli told the APA.
He said that they exchanged views about it in the last meeting of allianceâ€™s Board of Chairman.
â€œWe debated this issue, and we want amendments. The Election Code should be changed, election commissions should be formed on parity, freedom of assembly should be restored. We will attend the elections only after it. If there is not democratic election, we will not attend these elections,â€ he said. /APA/
