NAMSA general manager holds press conference on overall results of his visit

Spokesman for Foreign Ministry Khazar Ibrahim underlined that not only political, military and economic cooperation, but also tactical cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO have expanded. The spokesman said that Azerbaijani government has implemented several projects along with NAMSA.
Mr.Munzner underlined that the joint projects lay an important role in strengthening of Azerbaijan-NATO cooperation. He said that the projects are connected with important sectors, especially with defense sector, restructuring and modernization of Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
The NATO official underlined that projects Saloglu and Destruction of mÃ©lange are of great importance.
â€œWe focus on the implementation of both projects and greet them. Turkey, one of the leading states of NATO plays important role in these projects. The entire area polluted with UXOs in the village of Saloglu will be cleared in 2008 and used,â€ he said.
NAMSA General Manager also touched upon Azerbaijan-NATO relations. He said that he discussed the prospects of the cooperation with the government officials.
â€œWe are engaged in the solution of old problems. Projects covering various spheres will possibly be implemented in the future,â€ he said. /APA/
