Musavat Youth Organization members leave meeting protesting assemblyâ€™s decision

The agenda of the meeting included confirming the newly-appointed chiefs of regional organizations as members of the assembly, reports of the party commissions, socio-political situation and current issues. After confirming the newly-appointed chiefs of regional organizations as members of the assembly, the issues within the party were debated.
There was divergence while debating the confirmation of the newly-appointed chief of the Youth Organization as the member of the assembly. Chairman of the assembly Sulheddin Akbar said that the issue was analyzed by the commission set up in the assembly as the meeting of the Youth Organization does not coincide with the statute and the commissionâ€™s decision regards the conference as unauthorized. Mentioning that the youth age has been reduced by 29 Sulheddin Akbar underlined that there is a need to hold the conference again. The members of the Youth Organization protested it.
Chairman of Musavat Central Board Arif Hajili said that 45 out of 114 members elected to the conference participated at the meeting of the Youth Organization. He approved annulment of results and stated that he was against the swelling out issues related to the party.
â€œThere is no need to direct societyâ€™s attention to the internal problems of Musavat at present,â€ he said.
The member of the Assembly Rafig Ismayil objected to the opinions sounded regarding the conference of Youth Organization. Then the issue was put to the vote. But voting was held again on this issue at the Assemblyâ€™s decision and chairman of Musavat Party Isa Gambarâ€™s proposal. Assemblyâ€™s decision regarding that issue was adopted in the voting held this time. The Youth who attended the meeting left the Assembly objecting to their decision after it. Confrontation occurred between the youth and the members of other Assembly in the entrance of the Party. The youths were obliged to leave the headquarters of the Party as a result of it. /APA/
