Rafael Huseynov: Thousands of cultural monuments have been destroyed because of Armenian occupation

â€œThere are different religions, cultures and traditions in the world, and we should use these different cultures and religions for mutual confidence. Culture is the shortest way to establish relations and mutual understanding among people. The world is becoming smaller due to globalization, borders among countries and peoples are removed. But at the same time, individual role of the religion is increasing and we should allow religions and cultures violating stability in the world,â€ member of Azerbaijani delegation to Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) Rafael Huseynov said at the meeting on dialogue among religions and cultures on the last day of PACE summer session, APA Europe bureau reports.
He said that culture and religion can not only be uniting but also separating factor.
â€œUnfortunately, developments do not depend on our will. Some nations destroy othersâ€™ historical and cultural heritage. We have to react to these issues. Armenia continues to occupy Azerbaijani lands for 15 years. Thousands of cultural monuments have been destroyed or misappropriated. These valuable historical and cultural monuments are presented to the entire world as the culture of the invaders. This heritage does not only belong to Azerbaijan, but also to the whole humanity,â€ he said. /APA/
