Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.3% or to 10,380. The Nasdaq Composite led the percentage decline falling 2.3% to 2,266, and the S&P 500 Index dropped 1.5% to 1,111, APA-Economics reports. On May 6The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 998.5 points, or 9.2 percent, in intraday trading, the biggest decrease since 1987.
France’s CAC 40 fell 5.2% to 3 371, the UK’s FTSE 100 shed 2% to 5 155 and Germany’s DAX lost 2.5% to 5 761.
On May 7, gold sharply extended gains 1.1% to $1,210.4 an ounce. Most actively traded gold, for June delivery, hit $1,211.90 in electronic activity on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
The rate of Euro-USD exchange was 1.2755 (+0.3%).
