115 suspects who were planning to commit a terrorist attack on New Year's Eve were detained in Istanbul as part of an operation against ISIS, APA reports, citing the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
It was stated that detention orders were issued for 137 suspects who were identified as having ties to conflict regions within the scope of terrorist organization activities, as well as some of them for terrorist crimes in Türkiye and internationally, and 115 of them were detained.
The operation was carried out at 124 different addresses in Istanbul and as a result, a large number of weapons and ammunition were confiscated.
