Türkiye has taken a high level of preparedness measures in response to developments across the region, ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) spokesperson Ömer Çelik said, APA's Türkiye bureau reports.
Commenting on events unfolding in Iran and other neighboring countries, Çelik said the region is going through extremely dynamic processes and that Türkiye has raised its readiness to the maximum level regarding developments in neighboring states and the surrounding geography.
He noted that processes that previously took weeks or months are now sometimes unfolding within hours.
“From the borders with Iran, Syria, and Iraq to developments in the Black Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean, we are assessing all issues in a multidimensional manner,” Çelik said. He added that comprehensive preparations are being carried out in the fields of security, diplomacy, and intelligence, involving the Turkish Armed Forces, while also taking into account possible economic impacts.
