Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated that the United States can no longer exert as strong an influence on Israel’s policies as previously believed, APA reports.
Fidan expressed this view
The minister noted in an interview with Egypt’s MBC Masr TV channel that recent events show Washington’s influence on Israel’s decisions is not at the level it was once thought to be.
“The reality that has existed in American domestic politics for decades is about who controls whom. However, recent events have shown that the United States cannot influence Israel’s policies as much as desired,” Fidan added.
He also highlighted Türkiye’s efforts toward resolving crises in the region.
The minister recalled that a significant portion of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s time has been dedicated to reducing tensions in Gaza and international diplomacy.
