Libya's Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) has declared three days of mourning following the death of Mohammed al-Haddad, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces in the west of the country, in a plane crash in Turkey, APA reports quoting Libyan television channel Libya al-Ahrar.
According to him, mourning will be in effect throughout the entire country.
The government in the east of the country also expressed its condolences over al-Haddad's death. "We express our deepest condolences to the families of the soldiers killed in this incident," read a press release published on the Benghazi cabinet's Facebook page.
