Three soldiers and one civilian were killed when units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) coalition, which consists of Kurdish militants, opened fire on checkpoints set up by government forces around the Ashrafiya and Sheikh Maqsud districts in northern Aleppo, APA reports cuting Syrian SANA news agency.
Previously, Kurds held mass protests in Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsud, demanding that the authorities immediately lift the siege on Kurdish regions, where 500,000 people live.
They called on the SDF to protect the Kurdish population of Aleppo.
