Cemal Karaataş, accused of plotting an assassination against Russia’s ambassador to Türkiye, Andrei Karlov, has changed his name, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports, citing Turkish security sources.
It was reported that Cemal Karaataş, a FETÖ member who was one of the planners of the assassination of Russian Ambassador to Ankara Andrei Karlov and who fled to Canada, changed his name to Salih Ada.
According to the information, Cemal Karaataş is currently working in Canada as a psychotherapist.
Recall that on December 19, 2016, Russia’s ambassador to Türkiye, Andrei Karlov, was killed in Ankara in an armed attack.
