Türkiye plans to send additional military equipment to Syria and reach an agreement that will allow it to target Kurdish militants on the Syrian border, APA reports, citing Bloomberg.
Bloomberg, citing anonymous Turkish officials, reports that Ankara will send armored vehicles, drones, artillery, missiles and air defense systems to Syria in the coming weeks to support the government. This military equipment will be deployed in the north of Syria, not in the south, to prevent possible tension with Israel.
According to the agreement between Türkiye and Syria, which has existed for about 30 years, it is planned to increase the permission to target Kurdish militants operating within 5 kilometers of the border to 30 kilometers.
