With US support, an announcement of a military agreement between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) is expected soon, an anonymous source told Syria TV, APA reports.
According to the source, Washington is pressuring both sides to finalize the agreement before the New Year. The agreement is expected to be announced between December 27 and January 3.
The source added that the agreement includes a mechanism for the integration of the SDF into the Syrian army and the Syrian Internal Security Forces. In addition, three separate military divisions are expected to be formed for the SDF, which will be subordinate to the Ministry of Defense in Ar-Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, and Al-Hasakeh.
