The Israeli government has ordered the army to halt its operation to take control of Gaza City and minimize its activities in the Strip, following the agreement of the warring parties to implement US President Donald Trump's peace plan, APA reports citing Galei Tzahal.
"Following an assessment of the situation and discussions with US representatives, the leadership has instructed the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to minimize its activities in Gaza and conduct only defensive operations in the Strip," the radio station said.
