Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani used the emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha to urge the creation of a NATO-style collective security arrangement for the Arab and Islamic world, in which an attack on one state would be treated as an attack on all.
The Iraqi leader called on Arab and Islamic states to adopt a unified position condemning the assault on Doha and to coordinate diplomatic measures to hold Israel accountable internationally.
Al-Sudani emphasized that the path to regional stability requires an internationally supervised ceasefire in Gaza, followed by a reconstruction plan managed jointly by the UN and Arab states.
