Iran has no intention of pursuing nuclear weapons, President Masoud Pezeshkian said in his address to the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, APA reports.
Pezeshkian also spoke about the ongoing war in Ukraine, stressing that Iran calls for a just and lasting resolution to the conflict.
The Iranian president welcomed the recent defense pact signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, describing it as the beginning of a comprehensive security order in the region. “Iran views this development positively,” he added.
