Iran has called on UN member states and the International Atomic Energy Agency to condemn the attacks on its nuclear facilities during the 12-day war, said Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, during a press conference, APA reports.

“Iran is a member of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and has fulfilled its obligations, being the most inspected country. Therefore, there is no basis for any crisis to arise,” Baghaei said.

He noted that the actions taken by Israel and the United States against Iran’s nuclear facilities have still not been condemned.

“This condemnation should be carried out by UN member states and the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized.

He added that the absence of any condemnation not only signifies indifference to an illegal act but may also encourage the repetition of such crimes.
