Iran has announced that two people have been executed for blowing up a bus carrying pilgrims in 2023, APA reports, citing the Mizan news agency.
According to the information, the terrorist act was linked to the “Islamic State” terrorist group. As a result of the explosion, a minor child was killed, and several people sustained injuries of varying severity. The incident occurred while the bus was traveling from Tehran to Ilam province, located on the border with Iraq.
According to “Mizan,” the executed individuals were accused of planting the explosive device on the bus.
